Privacy Policy

The Security Coffeehouse events are organised and hosted by Bores Consultancy Ltd. Data collected in the process of registering for these events is stored only as long as necessary, and is used exclusively to inform you of upcoming events and ensure that you receive your attendance information. We will never use information gathered from Security Coffeehouse events for marketing purposes.

When you visit our website session cookies containing a name you provide will be created if you interact with the live chat feature. Your IP address is also collected by our hosting provider and we are provided with the geographical area the IP address is assigned to. We do not have access to your IP address or any personal data through website analytics functionality.

When you sign up to our mailing list we collect your e-mail address to send our regular newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link at the bottom of our e-mails, or by reaching out to us via e-mail to events@securitycoffee.house, via Twitter or LinkedIn messaging, or through our website chat functionality.

When you register for one of our events your e-mail address and name are collected and passed to our Webinar host to create your registration invitation. Unless you choose to opt in to our mailing list during this process your information is not used for any other purpose.

If you are making a voluntary donation then our payment processor will collect and process essential payment information.

Personal data we collect is processed by the following data processors for the purposes listed above:

  • Wix – geographic location and session cookies

  • Mailchimp - e-mail address and name for newsletter and announcements, for panellists also optionally your LinkedIn profile if you want to be tagged in the panel announcement

  • Eventbrite – e-mail address and name for registration to events and details required for payments as our payment processor

  • Zapier – e-mail address and name for integration between Eventbrite and Zoom

  • Zoom – e-mail address and name for registration to webinars

When you are registering for an event your e-mail address and any name you provide are collected and passed to our Webinar provider to create your registration. There is no obligation to provide your actual name, but if you do so we make use of this for the same reasons under the same basis.

If you register for the panellist pool then we will store and use the contact details you provide to contact you if you are selected. Once the pool is selected we delete all personal data is deleted unless you have also signed up to our mailing list.

All other usage of your e-mail address and any other details are collected, stored, and processed on the basis of your explicit consent which you may withdraw at any time by contacting us through any of our chat channels, through e-mail to events@securitycoffee.house, or in the case of our mailing lists through the unsubscribe link included with every e-mail.

We will not share or sell your data to any 3rd parties for any reason.
